Project title: Formation and studies of photoactive nanowires based on cyclodextrins and transition metal complexes
Supervisor: Dr. Zoe Pikramenou
The project involves synthesis of surface supramolecular transition metal complexes, their luminescent properties, surface characterization and imaging.
Funding will be for 3.5 years and will cover University tuition fees at the UK level and provide the standard tax-free stipend (approximately £12,500 p.a. and subject to annual increase).
Eligibility: Owing to funding restrictions, applicants must be UK / EU nationals and should have, or expect to obtain, a minimum Class 2(i) (hons) (or equivalent) degree in Chemistry or a relevant related discipline.
