to support their research.
Job description
VIB, the Flanders Institute for Biotechnology, is a premium institute situated in Flanders, Belgium. The institute conducts gene technological research in a number of life-science domains including human health care delivering new concepts of disease intervention for human diseases by integrating basic and clinical research.

The post-doctoral fellow will identify and validate mechanisms of neurodegeneration using animal and cell culture models. A solid background in basic or translational neuroscience is required, and experience with working with mouse and cell culture models is preferred. A funded 3-years post-doctoral position with a possibility of extension for another 3 years is immediately available at the Neurodegenerative Brain Diseases Group of the VIB Department of Molecular Genetics, located at the University of Antwerp, Antwerpen, Belgium.
The position can be filled immediately and will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.
